buddy conversation - day zero

Who: Anna and Gundam
When: Day 0 after the buddy announcement

[Gundam is really not thrilled about having his life attached to someone else; it doesn't suit him at all. He's also not very thrilled about approaching someone he doesn't know out of nowhere. But he feels confident the buddy situation is one that has to be dealt with; he needs to know what kind of person wound up attached to his life very badly.

So...wherever Anna is, she will find herself receiving a note tied to the back of a hamster. It says:

Meet at the lake. There is much to discuss. Take care you are not followed, as we must not be seen conversing.

[When Anna first sees the hamster, she'll gush over how adorable it is and pet it for a little bit in typical Disney princess fashion, but when she sees the note attached to its back, she'll nod and write on the back of it, telling the hamster to return to his owner with the response and gingerly sending him off on his way. This must be the hamster of the Super High School Level Animal Breeder, she reasons, and since they were meant to be paired up...well, it's obvious that they're going to need to talk privately at some point, and the lakefront is as good of a place as any.

Be there in five minutes!!

And so, taking an especially convoluted route and making sure that no one is behind her, she heads towards the algae-covered lake, before eventually stumbling across Gundam himself, waiting for her. ...Needless to say, his presence is really something else, but she'll bow politely before him and give as much of a smile as she can.]

Sorry to keep you waiting, Mr. Gundam. Your hamster was really cute, so I had to pet him for a little while...

[Gets a little flustered.]

Hamsters are merely a temporary form. But thank you. And well met, Anna of Arendelle! I see you have already discerned my own identity.

A temporary form..? I see...and what, may I ask, is their true form, then? Are they still cute..?

I figured anyone who was able to command animals like that must be the Super High School Level Animal Breeder...whatever that Super High School Level thing means. But just Anna will be more than fine, there's no need to be formal!

The are the Four Dark Gods of Destruction, eldritch beings of chaos. But yes, they are cute in those forms and all others.

[Well, the comment pleases him, at least.]

So you noted Maga-G's movements, good eye. It is fortunate, as through the command of my vassals, we will be able to communicate with ease.

Huh...I guess even beings of chaos and destruction have cute sides, then.

[Either she's just playing along, or she's just that naive..?]

It certainly would make things convenient! We can communicate back and forth, even when we're both on opposite sides of the park...the only thing is that the little guy can't get caught by any of the VIPs or anything, but, he definitely seems like a speedy one, and something tells me I doubt he'd let himself get captured.

[It definitely looks like a good way to relay messages discretely for now.]

...He will not allow himself to be caught.

[Though that does make him nervous.]

We must be incredibly cautious, Anna of Arendelle! [Apparently not shortening it.] It is low, to tie two lives together, as though destiny itself can be thwarted by their schemes. And yet we must accept it. So, tell me. Do you value your own life?

[Somehow she figured he wasn't going to.]

I think it's low too...but you're right, we don't really have much of a choice in this. All we can really do is watch our backs twice as much...but we'll rise above it.

And I do. I...really do want to be alive. If not for my own sake, for my sister's, and for the sake of my kingdom...

[Elsa must be worried sick about her...]

Good. I could not stomach being bound to one who would not fight for her own life. There is no avoiding it; we will have to fight with all of our strength. This idea that the killers will choose not to kill is flawed. But as long as there is power in me, I will not perish here. You must promise yourself the same.

You're right. As much as it pains me to say it...there's no guarantee that in this kind of situation, there won't be any attempts made on anyone's lives. But, still...

[She nods, resolute...]

If the situation calls for it, I don't intend to sit idly by with my life on the line. ...I may not seem it, but, I'm a lot stronger than I look. I can take care of myself, if need be. ...And that means I'm taking care of you, too, from now on. We're in this together.

I trust you with responsibility for my life by virtue of trusting you with responsibility for your own. It is that simple.

Then I suppose it's only fair to trust you with the responsibility of mine. We take care of each other and we take care of ourselves. That's what you're saying, right?

I won't let you down, Mr. Gundam. I have faith in you.

[This makes him sort of uncomfortable, though. Awkward. Awkward.]

By the way, I possess here a number of comrades. For now, I believe it best to keep our association to ourselves, but I do...trust them. If there were ever any issue that made it necessary to do so, you could claim our buddyship to Fuyuhiko Kuzuryuu. And in addition to him, there is Mahiru Koizumi, Peko Pekoyama, Ibuki Mioda, and Missile.

I figured you were friends with Missile. He's definitely an affectionate one...but, I've already met Ibuki. She's certainly a spirited girl...Her enthusiasm is really something else! And as for Mahiru, I'm in Elephant with her, so...

Wonderful! We'll surely form an iron clad alliance.

As long as I get to pet the Four Dark Gods of Destruction regularly, I'm sure we'll make an amazing team! ...Just kidding!
